01Listening
Everything is free to listen to. No ads, ever.
The listening room
The full catalogue on the home page. Filter by Themes, Extras or Cuts, and sort by Featured, Newest, Popular, A to Z, Shortest, Longest or Most versions.
“Play this selection” plays the list as you have it filtered and sorted.
Every cut, one tap
Most tracks come in several versions: the rendition, Slowed, Sped up and 8D. The chips on each row switch version without losing your place in the song. More cuts are in the row’s menu.
8D cuts move around your head: wear headphones for those.
Search
Search by film, theme, mood or title. Press / or Ctrl/⌘ + K from anywhere on the site.
Can’t decide?
Spin me around and Dude, play anything play something at random. Start here shows six picks, reshuffled every visit.
Track pages
Every track has its own page and short link, like beliefandpurpose.art/releases/rolex, with its versions, credits and buying options. Share that link and it opens straight on the track.
Studio notes
Short posts from Suraj: what he’s working on, what’s coming, what broke. On the home page.
02The player
The bar at the bottom of the screen follows you across every page.
Audio first, video as backup
Tracks play from the site’s own audio files. If a file can’t be reached, the player tries again before it falls back to the YouTube video of the same track, so the music doesn’t stop.
Matched loudness
Every track is levelled to the same loudness as YouTube, so switching between audio and video, or between tracks, doesn’t jump in volume.
Queue, shuffle and autoplay
- Queue: drag any row onto the player, or press Q to see what’s next.
- Shuffle: U.
- Autoplay: keeps playing when a track ends. A turns it on or off.
Seek and volume
Drag the bar to move through the track, or press a number key: 0 to 9 jump to 0% to 90% of the track. ← → move 5 seconds. [ ] change the volume and M mutes.
Loading ring
While a track loads, the play button shows a turning ring. Once you hear sound, it stops.
Tab title
The browser tab shows ▶ and the track name while music plays, and the page name when it doesn’t, so you can find the site among your tabs.
03MaxxImmerse
The full-screen show. Press F, or the MaxxImmerse button in the player.
Visuals that listen
The nebula, the record, the orb, the aurora and artwork visuals all move with the music: kicks, snares and notes drive what you see.
Some visuals are kept for Tribe members.
Nothing is recorded
The visuals read the sound your browser is already playing, on your device. No microphone, nothing is recorded or sent anywhere.
For YouTube tracks you can choose Sync to sound, which shares this tab’s sound with the visuals; the same rule applies.
04Hi-Fi lossless
Lossless FLAC streaming for Treble and Symphony members, on tracks where a lossless master has been uploaded.
How it switches on
Press play as usual. The normal stream starts at once, while the lossless file gets ready in the background. Then the player switches to it at the same moment in the song, without a pause.
When the HI-FI badge appears on the cover, you are hearing the lossless file. Full screen, it reads “Lossless FLAC”.
When it stays on the normal stream
- The track has no lossless master yet.
- The lossless file is a different cut from the one you are playing.
- The file is very large for a phone, or your browser’s Data Saver is on.
- The connection fails: you go back to the normal stream, never to the video.
Hear the difference
Lossless shows best on good headphones or a DAC. Laptop speakers will do. Morally, they won’t.
05Your Library & your account
Your own corner of the site. Open Your Library from the Menu, or press Sign in at the top.
What’s in it
- Favourites: tap the heart on any track.
- Your most played
- Playlists: make your own; drag tracks onto them.
- Up next: your queue.
- Recently played, with a Clear button.
With an account
Without an account, your library lives in this browser only. With one, your favourites, playlists and listening streak follow you to every device.
Your name on the board
Listens count after 30 seconds of play, one per track every 10 minutes. The people who listen most appear in Top listeners.
Display pictures
Members pick a display picture made for their level. Symphony ones are animated.
06The Records: owning the music
Studio files you keep, paid once. Pick a track, set your price, and it’s yours.
What you can buy
- Studio Master: the source file of the version you choose.
- Full Package: the versions and extras listed for that release.
- Playlist bundles: several tracks together, for less.
- Ask for a master that isn’t listed with “Ask for a master”.
Open The Records · press O on any track
Pay what you want
You choose the price from the minimum shown; the faint number in the price box is that minimum. Tribe members pay 5 to 15% less. Prices in other currencies are converted from rupees, so treat them as close, not exact.
Formats
The format shown for each version (for example 44.1, 48 or 192 kHz) is the real file you get. Listening streams and studio files can differ.
Paying
Checkout shows the ways to pay that are open right now: UPI, cards and netbanking through the payment provider, and PayPal or Ko-fi from abroad where available. A UPI payment made straight to Suraj is checked by hand against the bank, usually within a day.
Nothing counts as paid until the payment provider confirms it.
Getting your file
Once the payment is confirmed, an email brings a private download link. It works for 7 days and needs no account. If the link expires, reply to the receipt for a fresh one.
Gifts and extras
- Send it as a gift: tick the box at checkout and the file goes to someone else.
- Gift a membership from the Tribe page or the footer.
- Pay once to pin your request to the top of the queue, or to put your name in the credits of the next release.
07The Tribe: membership
No ads on this site, ever. The Tribe is how the music keeps coming. Pay monthly or once a year (two months free), and leave whenever you like: nothing is locked in.
Bass Level 1
- A Bass badge next to your name everywhere

08The Vault & Coming soon
The Vault
Works in progress, rough cuts, early ideas, and the polls that decide what comes next. Only for the Tribe.
Coming soon
What Suraj is cooking right now. Everyone gets a few clues; Symphony members see the whole thing.
09Get involved
Requests
Tell Suraj what to make next: a Rendition (a theme, his way), a Redux (one of his, again), a Remix or an Original. Pick a mood and send it. Vote on what others asked for: the most votes get made first.
Members can use the members’ lane: those requests are read first and the vote counts twice.
Make something together
Singers, rappers, players, producers, filmmakers: vocals on a rendition, live instruments, a co-produced original, a remix of your track, or music for your short film.
Mix & master
Send a link to your files and what you need: mixing, mastering, or both. Suraj replies by email with a plan and a quote, and the work comes back with revisions.
Suggest something
An idea for the site, a broken link, a track you can’t find: “Suggest something” in the footer goes straight to Suraj.
Replies to collaborations and mix enquiries depend on availability: if it’s a fit and there’s time, you’ll hear back.
10How it looks
Damn it, music mode
Drops every effect and keeps only the list and the player. Fast on any phone or old laptop. Press L, or use the footer.
Animations on / off
Keeps everything on screen but stops the drifting and moving. In the footer, under “How it looks”. The site also follows your device’s Reduce motion setting.
Tips
New visitors get six quick tips. Bring them back any time with Show the tips again in the footer.
Phones and computers
Everything works on a phone. The full visual experience is at its best on a desktop or laptop with headphones.

13Privacy
Crumbs, not cookies
Your favourites, queue and settings are kept in your own browser. No ads, no trackers. YouTube may set its own cookies once a video plays.
Counting visits
The site counts how many visits it gets, as plain numbers. To tell a new visit from the next page of the same one, it sets two small cookies that hold only the value “1”: no name, no ID, no IP address.
What is stored about you
Your username, what you listen to here (for the leaderboard), your favourites and playlists, and for purchases your email and payment reference. Card and bank details are handled by the payment provider, never by this site.
